Muralhas

Development of a packaging proposal for Muralhas Wine.

concept

The current packaging of Muralhas bottles does not reflect the fresh and light character of Vinho Verde.

In this sense, a more modern and minimalist proposal was developed to represent the essence of Monção. This wine is produced by a cooperative winery founded in October 1958, by 25 viticulturists.

Due to the strong bond of the people with the cooperative winery, it was essential to use characteristic symbols of the land in this packaging.

In a simplified manner, two elements were depicted: the Coca, represented by the green wave, symbolizing the dragon's scales, which, despite symbolizing evil (in the battle with Saint George), is a beloved figure in the region. And the stone fortress, the walls that protected the municipality from Castilian attacks, represented through the silver element.
